Happy 40th Anniversary!
By Juliette CezzarToday is the 40th anniversary of Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong’s momentous first visit to the surface of the moon. Celebrate by checking out the audio feed between mission control and the Apollo 11 spacecraft on WeChooseTheMoon.org, a presentation of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum. You can also watch Walter Cronkite narrate the moon landing for TV viewers on a special presentation by kottke.org.
Book Signing at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum
By Juliette CezzarI was invited by the Smithsonian for a book signing over the Independence Day weekend. It was amazing to see so many families there, with kids (and adults) excited about both planes and spacecraft, so different from what we normally see and live in Brooklyn.
